Words of power.
What if you were able to see your words?
What if you could visually trace the moment from when you spoke them, to the moment they reached their end point? Would you perhaps speak differently, and use your words more wisely?
This was a thought that crossed my mind at some point, and even though it was my own thought, it somehow sounded condescending. I thought “sure, yes I watch my words” and then I moved on from this idea to another pretty rapidly.
However, the question kept on at me. Do we really treat our words as though we would treat our actions? Do we really consider a word or sentence as a powerful and magical way of manifesting in our reality?
Some of us, maybe even you reading this article discovered this notion long ago. For some, you are perhaps just beginning to realise just how powerful your words truly are.
For me, a series of synchronicities began to unfold. All of these strange coincidences had one thing in common, words, my words. To many to mention but I will share with you a couple (just so you get the jist of what I am trying to convey)
I was a passenger as my mum was driving in her car, I saw something run across the street and screamed “look a rat!” As I took another glance I realised that it was in fact just a black plastic bag floating in the breeze. As my mum pulled into the car park and we got out of the car she suddenly said “look a rat!” we both looked across the street in dismay, as a huge black rat ran into the bushes. Freaky coincidence? Or had the intention behind my words helped to create a manifested reality?
I started to really believe that my words had the power to literally create. So one day I decided to put it to the test. My intention was for my words to bring what I wanted into my reality, what happened next was unfortunate, but at the same time amusing.
I asked that a ‘flow of abundance come to my home.’ (I shield this even as a type) ….. Simple I thought, pretty clear right? Erm… no not so clear. That evening a storm so wild hit, my house being on the corner got the brunt of it. In the morning water surrounded my garden and home, knee deep. Just my house. It seemed that living on the corner had somehow attracted all the rain water to me as it ran down the hill it was built upon. But hadn’t I got what I asked for? I asked for abundance to flow to my home, I sure got it! I still see this little anecdote as the universe having fun with me, reminding me that crystal clear intentions are key.
But I learnt that none of this should ever put us off using words of power. I just decided that until I was good at it, I would use a sort of ‘non language’. A language that would allow me to express my true inner intentions, without my native English language messing it up.
There is inherently something beautiful about the ability to communicate through sound. This does have to mean language however. I remember as a child my younger cousin who was a toddler was communicating to her grandmother, my great aunt, that she was hungry. I kept telling my aunt over and over that my cousin was hungry. My aunt replied “no one knows what she is saying, she is talking in baby talk, gibberish”
But I could understand! I was five years old and my cousin one, and I could completely make out what she was saying. I wasn’t even aware that she was talking ‘gibberish’. It frustrated me to think that just because adults could not understand, somehow meant that there wasn’t something else at play here.
You see, words of power don’t have to be our everyday language – they can be sounds, song, or yes indeed ‘gibberish’. In fact I have found in manifestation that the less human language is used, the better. Language comes from a part of our brain that is conditioned and taught to us from our surrounding society. From our country, to even our local dialect. Because of this, it is limited.
Have you ever felt so excited that you say? “Words cannot describe how I am feeling” or have tried to comfort someone, but found yourself uttering “I am sorry, I just don’t know what to say”
By using ‘made up words’ we can really learn how to vocalise our intentions without having to engage the part of our brain that can unintentionally hold us back from expressing our truth, which are our crystal clear intentions.
So here are 4 tips I personally use to manifest through words of power.
•As always finding a space you can relax in is important for you to be able to connect with your intuition and true intentions. If you can do this outside in nature, great! If not at home is fine. You don’t need to dedicate a whole day to this, five or ten mins is totally enough.
•Close your eyes and start to feel how your manifestation feels. For example you want a new home? How does it smell? What are the surrounding sounds? Want a new car? How does drive, how does the engine sound? Want a promotion? How do you feel when you are told it’s happened?
•Now start to vocally express these feelings. You might feel guided to sing, hum, chant or talk in gibberish. The sounds themselves aren’t actually the most important thing, it is your intention behind the sounds. See how getting rid of language is useful in this situation? You are able to express your true inner feelings, without having to suddenly switch to the part of your brain that deals with language. Thus you can focus completely on your crystal clear intention.
•Once you feel you have expressed yourself fully end with a thank you. There is always a place for those two words :)?
